Manage Pricing Strategies for a customer

To manage the pricing that customers receive for their subscriptions, apply a Pricing Strategy.

At the customer level, this will determine the effective price of the subscriptions and one-time purchases that a customer buys.

A default pricing strategy can be applied, as well as pricing strategies that apply specifically to commitment terms such as monthly or annual.

These pricing strategies are applied at the time a new subscription or one-time purchase is made.

Changes made at the account level to the default or term-specific pricing strategies, will not impact existing subscriptions.

Before you begin

You must be a licensed Work 365 user with either the Work 365 Admin or Work 365 Sales security role assigned to manage pricing strategies for a customer. For more information, see Security Roles and Permissions.

Additionally, Pricing Strategies must be created and activated before they can be assigned to customers. For more information, see Pricing Strategy.
